The original story of the Ugly Duckling never sat right with me. Treating each other differently because of how something looks? Or only when something is beautiful enough??

Might seem like a weird duck, but that's because I'm a great goose.

There is so much more to explore in art and life than just how it looks. Ugly Duck prioritizes the process, learning, emotion, flexibility, and exploration in art class over solely the product. With a splash of fun of course!

Born and raised in Buffalo, I ventured out to Alfred University to complete my Bachelor of Fine Arts, and continued on to Buff State for my Masters of Science in Education. Currently I'm a NYS K-12 Professional Certified Visual Arts Educator with a decade of experience teaching in a diverse local district. If there's one thing that can bring people together- regardless of language, family,  or anything else- it's Art. No matter where you start, where you go, how silly, ugly, or weird it is, it's all good. Celebrate the good, bad, and ugly like a Goose.
